The Fellowship will consist of 12 months in a mentorship programme in the UK to strengthen the Fellow’s professional skillset. The expected outputs are the publication of two peer-reviewed papers and one website on biodiversity inventory from Congo; a syllabus for a field course to teach botanical inventory and identification techniques in the Republic of Congo; completion of a two month training course on molecular techniques which can be used to study biodiversity in central Africa. The outcome will be the enhancement of skills and practical experience for the Fellow which will be used to train others in Congo.
