The fellow will undertake postgraduate study in sustainable development at the University of Stirling. This training details practical, balanced approaches to natural resource management and economic and social development, whilst providing insight into the international policy process driving key decisions on a global and local scale. A short placement at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust will enable the fellow to learn first-hand issues of wetland conservation. Supervised research thesis work at Koshi Tappu Wetland Reserve in Nepal will ensure relevance to the home country context. The fellow will return to Nepal able to actively contribute to sustainable development education.
