Summary
The main objectives of the scoping trip are to strengthen the already existing strong in country support with the Forest Department of Himachal Pradesh and its Wildlife Wing, the Wildlife Institute of India, the Bombay Natural History Society and the Wildlife Trust of India. Furthermore, it will be critical to establish the details of the resulting Darwin project, including local technical support and facilities for workshop attendees, etc. All stakeholders agreed this course of action during the course of this application process (for details see letters of support).
