The purpose of this partnership project and country visit are to: 1) identify the specific needs of local stakeholders (NAPV staff, the local commune council and community members) for capacity building as well as other knowledge gaps and needs for future research on threatened tree species; 2) identify and strengthen relationships with national/regional partners to deliver horticulture and agroforestry training and improve collaborative communication between project partners and 3) conclude on specific partners’ roles and produce a Main Darwin project proposal. The project leader and SEABG Network Coordinator will visit NAPV for meetings with project partners as well as community and restoration sites to assess and ensure readiness for project activities.
