Summary
To transfer define and protect sites of biodiversity importance as the first stage in the formulation of a regional biodiversity strategy. To initiate a programme of ecological research and specialised training of key personnel, with the aim of assessing ways in which the land-use needs of southern Poland can be met without compromising urban biodiversity.
Train 35 people in biodiversity assessment and survey skills, practical conservation and community and education skills, and the planning and production of local and regional biodiversity action plans.
Produce newsletter.
Hold 2 reporting seminars.
Publish 4 research papers.
Complete 5 management plans.
Complete the Malopolska biodiversity action plan.
Produce training manual.
