To provide a focus for conservation and enhancement of biodiversity in Tigray and provide a focus for the sustainable use of natural resources including indigenous crop species.
Site based outputs - proposals for the creation and restoration of demonstration forest ecosystems; long term management plan; education and interpretative strategy; identification of key species. Regional outputs - identification of existing biodiversity capital; rehabilitation strategy; outreach programme; International Cente for Ecology creation.
