Summary
The project will provide beiradeiro communities who live in the Terra do Meio, southern Brazilian Amazonia, with means to continue to protect their territories, conserve biodiversity and achieve better quality of life. Key activities include offering training to enable young beiradeiros to take on new social roles, increasing gender equality; collaborative and interdisciplinary research geared towards territorial monitoring and recognition of their colocação system as a Traditional Agroforestry System will add value to their products and thus increase income.
