Summary
This project will generate alternative livelihoods for 3,000 smallholder farmers in a Ramsar site - the Lake Cluster of Pokhara Valley, Nepal - through a scalable place-based marketing approach. A Unified Landscape Brand will be used to differentiate agricultural and fishery products from the Ramsar site in local and regional markets to generate income. The project will forge multi-stakeholder partnerships with public and private sectors, cooperatives and communities to mobilize local resources and foster stewardship for sustainable management of agricultural and wetland biodiversity.
