Summary

The project will contribute to reducing poverty by supporting the re-emerging cocoa sector in 30 forest-edge communities. 70 households will increase incomes by 10% due to improved cocoa farming. Human–wildlife conflict (HWC) research will inform a land management strategy to direct cocoa restoration to areas that minimise loss of wildlife and loss of cocoa due to conflicts. The National Cocoa Working Group will recognise the strategy and interest will be shown by other protected areas in-country.
