Project Outputs
Knowledge of GP numbers, distribution and ecological needs across its range is provided to GP stakeholders; Measures to prevent the extinction of Gurney’s Pitta in Thailand are in place; A strategy for Gurney’s Pitta habitat restoration across the species’ former range in southern Thailand is developed and agreed; Conservation strategy for key sites in Myanmar is produced; Capacity of Thai and Myanmar conservationists to undertake further conservation is increased
