To train Tanzania park ecologists and rangers in the continuous monitoring and assessment of the wild animal species and habitats under their protection. A permanent program within the Mikumi-Tanzania Park systems monitoring the elephant and other large mammal populations using the regular anti-poaching posts and patrols of rangers. A permanent program of trained analysis and assessment of this information by the Parks Ecology department. A core of rangers trained in transect monitoring
